- Contact a large number of vendors & select from competent initial bids, requested more rigorous bids from best vendors & put together & compiled detailed bid spreads & quotes sent to a number of vendors for each of pipes, valves & fittings & services such as hydro-vaccing, crane installation of production tanks & installation of secondary containment for oil well tie-in.
- Supervision, pipefitting & pressure testing on high pressure wellhead and gas plant fittings
- Supervision of structural welding on site, trenching, pipe stringing, pipe laying and installation of insulation & cladding on pipes
- Design of series 2 separator building & direction & supervision to expand existing 1 separator building into 2 separator building, site preparation & installation on site
- Had a poor facility design & had to retrofit a separator building into a facility site. Conceptualized a new separator building and configuration with plenty of capacity for plunger-lift liquid surges. Engaged a welding company to retrofit a salvage building & 2 salvage separators, a 2 phase & a 3 phase. Directed welders/pipefitters to fabricate new structure and install new instruments selected & purchased. Installed a separator building with the 2 separators for $50k in 2014. This compares with EPC companies would only have 1 separator & instruments for the same cost, not including building site preparation and piping install, did it myself using tradesmen. Instruments installed in new building were much easier to operate and maintain than the instruments in the original plant the EPC installed.
